A FARM animal SANCTUARY
Terra
As a sanctuary, we understand the importance of animal freedoms and make thoughtful choices in our daily lives; we share information about veganism, plant-based eating, and ethical, non-animal alternatives to everyday goods and services. We recognize how exploitation and greed are driving factors in today’s consumer focused world, and we strive to perpetuate the understanding that sentient individuals should not be commodities. The home we provide for our residents is free from animal products and exploitation; we endeavor to offer sanctuary to them as well as our volunteers. We are pleased to offer one-on-one support to those seeking to transition to veganism, or to existing vegans with questions about ethical considerations, plant-based products, and resources.
Acquiring status as a 501c3 charitable organization in 2016, Terra Farm Sanctuary resides in northwest Spokane County on the edge of Indian Prairie, and amid towering pines and meandering wildlife. Our micro-climate is a bit dessert, a bit mountain, and everything in between, and as veganic gardeners, it keeps us on our toes! We provide a safe and compassionate home for beings who have been victims of neglect, abuse, and fear, have been abandoned, have retired from arduous labor, or are the unwanted products of farming. TERRA is a place of solace, where we respectfully allow our other than human family to live out their natural lives in peace. Our residents include donkeys, sheep, roosters, goats, dogs, and a parrot
WE ARE VEGAN
Our Mission
Terra Farm Sanctuary is a 501c3 charitable organization, created to give retired, abused, and unwanted animals a protected and compassionate home, while providing for their well-being and comfort, allowing them to thrive. These animals will not work, perform, or otherwise produce while living out their natural lives in peace. Terra works to create public awareness of the crisis faced by farmed and commoditized animals through vegan education and advocacy.
