Casper

Est birth year: 2016
In residence since: 2016

We took Casper in after he was scheduled to be killed for food; his breeder felt he had no value, because he was unable to be “used” to produce offspring. Casper was cryptorchid and had issues with his reproductive “wiring”. He was also very small and frail. When he inadvertently stepped in a water bucket last winter, he nearly died from the shock of the cold. It took 2 hours of his being wrapped in blankets, while snuggling in a car with the heat blasting, for him to snap out of his unresponsive state.

After surgery, and 12 months of love, healthy food, a cozy home, and the guidance and playful company of his herd, he has become so much stronger and more confident; he is very thoughtful and so inquisitive… it is hard to believe he is the same little goat who was so weak and fragile a year ago!

This gentle boy has come so far, and we are so lucky to have him with us.
